From Humble Beginnings To The Worlds Biggest Stage

Sarabjot Singh Kalsi's Journey to the Paris Olympics

From humble beginnings to the world's biggest stage

A story of perseverance, dedication, and triumph

Sarabjot Singh Kalsi is a rising star in the world of shooting. At just 24 years old, he has already represented India at the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games, and is now set to compete in his first Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Sarabjot's journey to the Olympics has been far from easy. He was born into a poor family in the small village of Jalandhar, India. His parents worked hard to provide for him and his siblings, but they could not afford to send him to a private school or to pay for extra coaching. Despite these challenges, Sarabjot never gave up on his dream of becoming an Olympic shooter.

Sarabjot started shooting when he was just 10 years old. He would often practice in his backyard, using a makeshift target made from a cardboard box. As he got older, he began to compete in local tournaments and quickly rose through the ranks. In 2018, he won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol event at the Commonwealth Games. This victory earned him a place on the Indian national team and a berth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Unfortunately, Sarabjot's dream of competing in the Tokyo Olympics was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Games were postponed for a year, and Sarabjot had to start all over again. He continued to train hard, and in 2021, he qualified for the Paris Olympics. He is now one of the favorites to win a medal in the 10m air pistol event.

Sarabjot's story is an inspiration to us all. It shows us that anything is possible if we set our minds to it and never give up on our dreams.
